THE FIGHT TO
SAVE WOMEN’S SPORTS

CALLING FEMALE ATHLETES
Tell the NCAA Board of Governors
Protect Women’s Collegiate Sports

If you are a current or former NCAA female athlete, please fill out the form below to send a private email to each member of the NCAA Board of Governors urging them to follow the lead of the NAIA and protect women’s collegiate sport and establish a new policy keeping women’s sports female.

*You must personalize the email in the form before you can send it — add your sport and school, include personal stories, and concerns about safety and privacy.

Competitive sport is a zero-sum game, where some athletes make the cut, others do not; someone wins, others lose. In a zero-sum competition, the inclusion of male-bodied athletes in women’s sport inevitably means FEMALES LOSE OUT.

Female athletes work our entire lives to compete in sports, only to have the NCAA destroy our
even playing field.

The Coalition

What You Can Do

  • Now is the time for female NCAA athletes to stand together and tell the NCAA that we will not accept reduced athletic opportunities for women.

Send a private email to the NCAA Board of Governors HERE.

YOU can make a difference by writing to the NCAA and by sharing this website to ten other female athletes.

  • Over a dozen female athletes are suing the National Collegiate Athletics Association for letting male athletes compete against them and use female locker rooms in college sports.

Learn more and support the lawsuit: iconswomen.com/take-on-the-ncaa/

  • Our Bodies, Our Sports coalition of women’s advocacy organizations from across the political spectrum gave the NCAA a demad letter on January 11, 2024 in Phoenix, AZ, at the NCAA Convention. READ THE LETTER

  • National Women’s Sports Week runs June 23-29, 2024. Celebrate with us!

CHAMPION female athletes for their teamwork, resilience, and success.

HONOR the coaches and parents who support female athletes.

FIGHT to ensure the continuation of single-sex athletic competition.

Competition Report

As the number of male-bodied athletes seeking to compete on women’s teams and in women’s events grows, the risks to female athletes also grow.

Claims to the contrary deny science, defy logic, and undermine Title IX.

Independent Women’s Law Center and Independent Women’s Forum synthesize the science and explain the changing legal landscape of American sports in the Second Edition of Competition: Title IX, Male-Bodied Athletes, and the Threat To Women’s Sports.
